Going through of my old storage boxes I found these 1940's Czechoslovakian coins and thinking they are so beautiful I want to share them with you all:

I wonder why these aluminum coins from the 1940's don't look like the French, Spanish and other countrie's aluminum coins from the same time period?

Enjoy!

I don't care to much for toned coins but these are rather attractive. Very nice congrats.

Very nice, jomic - that toning is very attractive. A couple of years ago I picked up a bunch of Slovakian coins from the early 1940s with similar coloration. They had been stored for decades in yellow coin envelopes.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Thank you I6609 & HondoB for your comments and appreciation of my post!

These pics do no do the actual coins justice; I wish you could see them in person.

I tried about 6 times with my scanner and camera with different lighting but could not come up with any better photos than these submitted.

Again, thanks for dropping by!!

Thank youjbuck!

Bacchus2, seeing your comment I immediately dove into "The Standard Catalog of World Coins" and found this:
Beautifully-Rainbow-Toned-Czechoslovakian-Coins.-Didn't-Know-Where-Else-To-Post

So I don't feel tooooooooooo bad about getting the facts wrong, but they sure are wrong, and my humble apologies too all.

I need to pay more attention fro detail from now on and double check my info, the1946 1 koruna's are Copper-nickel, not aluminum, where as the 1947's are aluminum! And all 2 koruny are Copper-nickel.....

If I had a rag or a dog I could get this egg off my face! Grrrrrr on me!

Regardless, you all have a great day, night & especially a good life!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone makes mistakes. Krause certainly has them. You should see some of the attribution howlers I've made.
