I have here a CBH with unusual edge lettering that says:
|||||||||||||||||||| FIFTY |||| CENTS |||| OR F |||| A |||| DOLLAR |||| * ||||||||||||||||||||

Location of the "ORF" on the coin's edge. S of "CENTS" can be seen on the left, and A on the right of the image.
I have come across a "guido" while researching (where the planchet went through the edge lettering machine wrong), but there are no rim pinches on this coin. If there were, the rim would be absent at 10 and 5 o'clock.

To my untrained eyes, the markers seem to match O-118, so I don't think it's counterfeit.
Full edge lettering, "ORF" seen in the second image down:

On the last image, the "*" is located on the far left of the image, and F of "FIFTY" on the far right.

Drawn on for clarity. Compared to an 1830 CBH, the distance between the * and the start of "FIFTY" is over twice as far.
I know that in 1830, the edge was modified to add reeding-like segment lines (both vertical and diagonal in both directions). But as far as I know it, there is no change to the wording of "FIFTY CENTS OR HALF A DOLLAR". What do I have here?
