Also remember that if submitted to PCGS, this would be graded as a rarity and if it ends up grading 65+, the grading fee will be $300 + 1% guarantee premium (GP) from the PCGS value which is $350,000. Thus your grading fee would be $3,800. Not bad if you are selling the coin right away, but slightly stinging if you end up holding the coin for a while until you sell it. You also have to deal with sending a coin valued up to $350,000 to the TPG by mail. Shipping insurance, even if you have a policy, will charge you thousands for one off items like this one and will likely require expensive options like armored car delivery. One way to avoid some of this is to have it graded at a major show using PCGS's 24 hour service. And it is probably a good idea to send to CAC to see if it qualifies for a green bean as that can open up a premium in sales price but it introduces another layer of risk in transit, cost and heartburn. Not sure if CAC is beaning coins on site at major shows.

Wow so much positive energy here, Thank you again for all the advise. As for the grading Fee's and sending it out I agreed to pay all of that out of the sale price as the auction house already has the coins. I already got back my 1889 CC MS63 with a CAC sticker on top here is the picture of it as you will see it for auction in August as well with the 1895 O and 1893 S lower grade that I am still waiting to get back. all of my coins will be on display at the ANA world paper money and coin show in Pittsburg PA. I truly believe it is taking so long because its extremely RARE with such strong strike. Quote: Authenticity questionable. If it's a counterfeit, it's an incredibly good one. The date position is an exact match for VAM-3 with doubling at the top of the 5, although the photos aren't sharp enough to see the other die markers. I don't see anything that looks suspicious.

I'm still not able to narrow down the grade any further than what I have noted without a better obv photo. the vid is too poor to help. good luck with your submission and please update this thread with the final grade

It's 100% real no question about it. I Owen. Coin shop and have been doing this for over 36 years. It was checked on a sigma, sigma investor and an XRF I Owen. Not too mention it was weighed on three different scales I Owen and it passed everything I used to checked it with. In addition the auction house admitted that the coin was an epic find and that it was real. Hope that helps Kbella coins

No none of the coins including the 1889 CC or 1893 s where in slabs all in a coin album. The 1895 O is going to be historical, but when I purchased it I had no idea it was that nice, guess I got lucky as I mentioned I am not an expert.

I "really" hate to be this guy... but do you "own" a coin shop or do you "owen" a coin shop...? Owen doesn't make sense after a while...? It seems like you "own" a legitimate business...which is nice! Just curious how you came upon this collection and perhaps what you offered for this non-slabbed album? Just curious because if I come across one...I want to know how to do it also... smat my bad...reference to album

Hello and thank you for grammatically correcting my statement. Everything I purchase comes through my establishment.
If your buying coins ungraded you should try and pay 20% to 25% below the gray sheet for starters based on the grades you think they are.

I'm not sure if this is crossing the line as this is not permitted until you have reached 250 posts and any sales should be in the correct forum. just watch you verbiage going forward. I think its borderline as you are not actually place anything for sale here but promoting them at an upcoming coin show. just wanted to call it to your attention since you own a shop.
