This is a ten cent gaming token issued by "RWM" for Caesar's in Atlantic City, N.J. It's an undated (1980s? 1990s?) thin brass 22.2 mm arcade token. Except for the "RWM," it's similar to an arcade token identified as issued by the "Olde Philadelphia Mint" that is listed as Numista #337561 and TC #521503. "RWM" may be the former Roger Williams Mint in Attleboro, Massachusetts. If so, it is now part of the TokensDirect division of Osborne Coinage in Cincinnati, Ohio.

So all that rabbit chasing is to say it is yet another of the zillions of virtually identical 1980s or 1990s arcade tokens.

Here are the mug shots:

Interesting token, fortcollins. To me, that's an odd denomination. Granted, I did not frequent casinos in that era (or any era, for that matter). I did visit pool halls, arcades, saloons, car washes, and other establishments where a person would encounter devices which utilized tokens, but they were all 25¢ tokens.

My hunch is that this wasn't a casino token, but was intended for standard arcade games at the hotel side of operations to entertain the kids while the parents gambled.

This is probably from back in the day when the casinos comped or subsidized everything from rooms to meals to golf and entertainment in order to get people to gamble.
