Thanks guys! Those pennies mean a whole lot to me. There are many memories in that collection. I said 70 years to complete this collection, but that is only my contribution. Grandpa and Aunt Gen were collecting for many years before that. So, more like 90-100 years.
Now that the small cents are complete. I'm not sure where my next interest lies. The modern collections, 1c, 5c,10c, and 25c, are complete to date. Halves never really interested me. I guess because they were not very accessible to a young kid in the '50s and '60s. There are 15 Dansco albums. 12 of them are complete. The 3 incompletes are V nickels, Silver Eagles, and my aunt's Liberty Walking halves that is about 60% complete. I may go for it next. That may turn out to be pretty ambitious.

Sounds like a pretty serious coin collection; really nice that it is a family collection. Mine started out with a small leather bag of smelly coins from my grandfather saved from around WW1. A bunch of german coins included. The history is more valuable that the coins!

Congratulations @jaw22w! I was just working on my small cents yesterday and I don't think I've got enough time left to get to where you are. It must be an amazing sense of accomplishment to see the complete set. Can't wait to see some pictures. And to the forum!

Out of curiosity, do you have the 1856 flying eagle and if so what grade?

It's great that you have had so many relatives who were interested in coin collecting. I'm afraid that, in my family, the only one with even a passing interest was my late father, who I'll credit with getting me interested.
No one alive seems to have any interest at all.
