Hello, Just got these $20 from a customer super crispy never circulated. Last 2 looks like the best numbers. Should I grade them? Is it fancy enough? Thanks serial 66566655 score of 90 serial 66566656 score of 95 I don't know if it matters under serialworth website. Edited by imagecoins 05/01/2026 12:50 pm

I would not spend the money grading them. Fancy numbers are not something that a banknote collector would be interested in plus it would not be noted on the sleeve when you got it back from the grader.

He's asking that for them. Doesn't mean that he will get that for them. He is selling them as binary notes but a true binary is 1 and 0. Even if someone was to buy them as a binary, they are certainly not worth that much of a premium. He also has a best offer. A seller can ask whatever he wants up to $2500.00 ungraded hoping that some one with no knowledge of banknotes will buy them.

Ya, but to me it was simply just the serial number is the same as the one I have. That was all I was stating. Is that normal?

Quote:Thats crazy to me this guys is selling the same serial that I have on ebay. The only difference is mine ends with B J10 and his is E L12? The question is: Would there be a premium to be made if you purchased the 2 bills and sent all 4 in to be graded then sell them as a 4 note set?

Is that normal? yes. the numeric digits of a serial number are only unique to the combination of the denomination ($20 in your case), series (2017A in your case), Federal Reserve district (J), and block letter (B). the ebay bill you linked has two differences from yours, the Federal Reserve district (L) and the block letter (E), so the numeric portion can be the same. the numbers are used sequentially, so every number from 00000001 to 96000000 (or 99200000 for $50s and $100s) has been and continues to be used over and over and over.

Offer to sell him your bills for $135 and tell him then he will be able to sell them as pairs for a lot more. Or buy his 2 and split them up with yours and try selling them as a pair if you want to take a gamble on making some money.
