We need one of our Roman experts to explain how/why someone (a military leader is proposed as most likely) that far away from Rome would have such objects with them.
Hard to imagine that, say, an American general or admiral would be carrying around a Remington bronze while on a campaign.

Since it is mostly silver, it is remarkable that it was not corroded.
