From all 5 sites I am aware of imaging the coin, some with die markers and stages, I can't seem to match any of the DDO's with an eye spread like this. Though of the photo's I see, I can't really say I see much doubling in the eye's that are documented. There is no good angle to view Liberty for this specific coin and I understand the acrylic it is set in could be creating the optical illusion of the doubled eyes but the 2nd pic is a different coin in the block with the same eyes and the view I can get of Liberty may show doubling but giving the acrylic and viewing angles, I am spinning wheels trying to make a determination, I am wondering if these eyes are consistent with anyone having viewed the coin in person or other insight about this you might have. I just do not want to undertake dissolving the block down unless there is a good chance it is an FS-101. Thank you!

Definitely not FS-101. The DDO would've been very noticeable. It would pop out right at you, if it was. http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20...1PDDO001.htm The doubled profile you're seeing is just Machine Doubling I think.

I spent a fair amount of time on the page(s) along with Wexler, Copper, NGC, PCGS, the 5 I am aware of and though eyes are photographed particularly with VV, no doubling jumps out at me with eyes there but they do with a couple coins in the acrylic. Not machine I am seeing unless the acrylic is playing with my eyes/pic.

Well the acrylic could very well distort the image. If you have a narrow beam flashlight shine it on the coin then move it around and see if the image changes with relation to the light beam position.
