You have found a nice trail die but that is not a match for the listing you have given. Just like doubled dies and RPM's, it has to be exactly the same, the degree is off. Congrats on the find though!

Thank You, E&V and -makecents- Quote: the degree is off. Is it? I tried to study it, because honestly, I wasn't 100% sure. I finally decided that the trail from the middle of the E NW to the top of the I looked like a match. It also has the small die crack running towards the M. The die crack by the eyebrow does not yet enter the field, but there is a very slight crack and a die chip on the brow.

I can do more comparisons if you still cannot see the difference between the two.

Quote: Just trying to help. Oh, I appreciate it!! The F is the one which was throwing me the most. Definitely does look like a different angle! Think what I was trying to figure out, is whether the trails which are wider in the listed coin, could've still matched mine (I was using the lower edge of the illustrated trail.) working on the assumption that mine is an earlier stage. Oh well!! Thank You!! I will always accept all the help I can get! Most of what I know about coins, has all been collected here!

You are correct in assuming that it can look "different" with die stages but the angle/degree will not change. Here is a pic of the die crack too, it also is a different angle/degree.

Thanks, Greasy Fingers! This is one of those "the die is the die" situations that I was taught several years ago.
