They do ancient Greek and Roman coins. They grade world coins including Chinese but I don't know how far back they go. Ask them. You could find a competent ancient Chinese coins dealer that might examine a coin, give you a certificate of authenticity for a fee though that's not the same as grading/slabbing. Sap Moderator Australia 16805 Posts	Posted 05/17/2026 04:18 am PCGS recently commenced its "ancient coin grading" division - https://www.pcgs.com/ancients - which is somewhat of a misnomer since the only "ancient coins" they are currently grading are Chinese cash coins, and even these only going back as far as the Ming Dynasty - so that the Song Dynasty coin in livingwater's example would be too old to qualify. The service is only available through their Shanghai office. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
