Picked this up today at the PAN coin show in Pittsburgh. One of the largest Cuds in the series and pretty neat looking with the fingers going up into the bays.

Thanks folks! I try to get to the PAN show when I can as a lot of dealers show up for that one. Other than this one which I bought as an error coin I managed about 5 minor variety picks and got a 1997 FS-101 at a fair price.

Kudos on getting this nice Cud. (Hard to tell on my phone, but is the date a little thick?)
Glad to see you're still in the hunt after selling your set to establish the endowment.
Hopefully the collecting returns to being enjoyable now that the pressu of that endeavor is almost complete.

I agree that the date looks thick. I saw that when I got the coin and realized how much I rely on the R of TRUST for those types of doubled dies. I just don't quite see enough going on with the date alone to call it a variety.

Working on setting up a day this coming week to do the actual endowment fund transfer which is the final step on my part. Yes! This whole registry set and all has been a lot of work and oddly there was pressure. You always hope your coins come back without the dreaded "details" grade, but when doing a registry it really matters when that happens. Plus I had to sell off a lot of my non-Lincoln cent varieties as well to pick up all the straight coins I needed. But it's all settling down now and while I do not yet have a collection goal in mind other than to keep adding to my variety coins, it's actually kind of more fun again.
