Is there a way to positively ID a proof, when the coin is so heavily cleaned to the point where surfaces are obliterated? Otherwise this is just a terribly cleaned AU. The rims on this coin are strange and beveled (rims on both faces sloped down towards the outside edge) instead of flat or wired, like it was encased at one point.

Obverse: Raised dot under the end of the left ribbon.
Reverse: Die line between IM, going up to the left foot of N.

I'm trying to capture how weirdly shiny this thing is but it's not really working.
