@idk, while it isn't perfectly accurate, a good first step when researching the value of a coin like this is looking at what others have paid for it (e.g. on ebay, with a filter set for coins sold). Another potentially useful site is numista. Here is the link to your coin:

one sold for less than $40.00 on ebay but that one was a 1845 dated coin like yours, So I might assume the same for your coin.
