California-Gold-Token,-Real-Or-Not?

This was at my LCS in Ottawa, which is not exactly a prime place to find these tokens.

It weighs 0.46 grams and has a diameter (straight edge to straight edge) of 10.2 mm. The LCS used the sigma analyzer and it appears to be 22K gold, which surprised me as I assumed that it would be fake. So is this authentic, a copy, or something else altogether?

Lack of a denomination is a big red flag. These have been discussed many many times here on the CCF - a search will bring up many topics.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
