Around 25 years or so ago I went to see 'Nick' (the Greek) back when the coin show circuit was practically the only option for a 'collector' of antiquities

Well Nick had this Ptolemy
No ticket no attribution no nothing
Just a 'heathy' pricetag !
Nick always gave me nice discounts
He knew I labored for my 'denarii'
But this one was a consignment and he had no freedom of action
Egad ! It was a weeks pay
The coin was less than pristine but still impressive nonetheless
I spent the whole day wandering that bourse hoping to be distracted by some attractive "thing"

I gave in and counted out the Mr Franklins ...

Thats comes out around around $3,000 ! Holy Frijoles Ouch !
