Well in my opinion, we would first need to see images of the notes.
As you may be aware that scans will hide some flaws in the notes so keep this in mind.
The Series is important as well as the Block (print run) for the notes. Condition is always a factor, and if they are or happen to be star notes will factor in as well.
Denomination will paly a part as several of the SC issues have Narrow and Wide varities. Signatures will impact the note as well. Seems like the list goes on and on huh?
Just keep this in mind, any retail shop has a margin, it is a must to stay in business. The typical percentage is anywhere from 15-20% and up.
Being ripped off is only an incident of not knowing what you are doing or looking at. With that in mind, buy the book before the note.
