Can anyone describe the dot Cud that appears "above the R" in Australia on the 1981 20c minted in Canberra? Is it joined to the upper left of the R or above in the narrow space of field? Thanks.

It is in the field above and is a definite, clear 'dot'.

Edit to add you can see a picture in the Aussie coin and banknote forum in the pictures section. Do a search for 1981.

Thank-you Sean. Also Why don't RAM, RBA and Security rolls reflect higher prices compared to single UNC prices. Is it a case of bulk buying?

Basically, yes. When a dealer buys a roll, he has to inspect, grade and package (2x2 or other method) each coin. Add to that the time involved to do that, plus the time involved in selling 20 plus coins of the same type, and you can see why the price for a roll is lower.

Fortunately for roll collectors, these factors still seem to influence roll prices at places like ebay.

And with security rolls, you can never be 100% sure you actually have a full uncirculated roll even if both end coins are uncirculated.

A pic is better than a description. This is an UNC one I have in my collection. Cheers.

If they were to be found in a mint roll - would it be likely all in the roll are the same or are they sprinkled through? I'm almost tempted to crack a roll!

The little hoard of Blob Above R 1981 20c that surfaced earlier this decade came from 3 CBA rolls. All the coins in the rolls were Blob Above R's.
