I need to purchase a top of the line scale to weigh up to 1oz. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I've been very pleased with it. (the same scale is sold for all sorts of applications, if you shop around you'll find it a little cheaper).

Top of the line scales are expensive:

You may just want to buy something like the other members posted above. A scale accurate to 0.01g should be adequate for coin related purposes.

Totally agree, we use these at work and they are not needed for coin work. 0.01 gram resolution is fine and a few thousand dollars cheaper. 0.01 grams is 0.000352736 oz. That should be fine.

Scales are getting very inexpensive. I paid around $30 for my digital scale. I don't have it in front of me or I would tell you the name..sry...measures in grams and ounces to the 1/10.

Im curious, why only up to an ounce? If you are buying scrap gold and trying to determine penny weight, you still may be successfull with a less expensive model. If you are using it to count paper money (number of bills/grams or %age of an ounce) I think you can still use a less expensive model.

0.01g is sufficient resolution for numismatics, exceeding the production tolerance for every issue. There's really no need to go "topline" - technology in this category is cheap. I own and use the same scale as ratman4762.
