I know this is a shoddy pic, possibly have found a 1951 High relief nickel. I noticed the tip of the "A" in Gratia is pointing towards the denticle and not between them. Any opinions?

Mike

HHB, you of all people know the answer. NEVER has a counterfeit coin or tampered holder been attributed to CCCS. A 1951 HR 5 cents belongs in a HARD SLAB by CCCS! :-) Maybe we can have an effect here by holding ICCS accountable as we both know they believe they are accountable to no one!?

Mike Clayton. Do nothing rash. Buy a book, buy a second book, read both books, learn the books, Take advice on-line (as you have been on several sites) with no more weight than the referance materials give you. There are many reputable dealers in Ontario that I and many here can send you to who would be more than happy to help you (for free). Coins in hand and the advice (of a pro) saves second guessing down the line. Just my thoughts.

How about a pic of the reverse. If it is the commemorative issue then the high relief is normal but if the reverse is the beaver then congrats on your find.

Hello surfin.
from that perspective, I totally agree!!
perhaps we should start a move toward CCCS..
Perhaps we could somehow invite Maurice to join us here?
could be interesting....
where are you located? are we close? If so, perhaps we can meet?

So should I send this to ICCS or CCCS. ICCS would be closer, but I feel that you guys are leaning towards cccs...... How much does it cost?
