I know there are 3 different extra claw type 5 cent coins the short claw, the long claw, and the one above the beavers toe. But has anyone ever seen this one or have one like it they are all from PL sets.

The spot to look for this variety is in 1965 proof like sets on the back foot of the beaver I believe there are 4 different type's. The two that I have shown a short toe similar to the long toe and one where the extra toe is on top of the foot. Chadcoins is the person to talk to about this variety as he is the founder of them maybe he could supply picture's of them.

Here is a picture comparing all four varieties side by side.I found out about these varieties through the Canadian Coin News article about a year ago.It was published by Ken Potter and it can be viewed on his website. He has issued his own number code to each variety. Hope this helps you gyes out.

I have a couple of Extra Claws varieties - 4 claws instead of two. Plus a few more variations of the Extra Claw variety. This is turning out to be an interesting coin to collect.
