Omaha Bank Hoard ?

it is the coins that was found in the Omaha bank vault and was sold off peice by peice. it is just like the redfield hoard or any other hoard that was found and split up and graded, they will be labeled as such by the grading company. I am not sure of the whole story of the Hoard but I am sure someone else does

The story is this:

A gentleman collected coins, apparently from an Omaha bank, for many years. As was the old habit, he collected them by rolls rather than examples - many folks used to acquire a roll of each coin, every year, for their collection. The gentleman in question did this for a few decades starting in the late '30s. A few years ago, Heritage acquired the 2000+(!) rolls of Brilliant Uncirculated (it's said that the collector cherrypicked only the best gems for his rolls) coins, ranging from pennies to halfs, and had them slabbed by PCGS. Thus, the name.

It was admittedly a sizable hoard but I think Heritage's position in the industry had a lot to do with it getting specifically named on the PCGS slabs.
