I agree with the idea of buying the slabbed coins. Just for the shear fact of a third party stating yes, that is an authentic coin.
23,000.00...Hooollllyyyy @4%^%
I thought I had a money pit in my train collection. :)
I guess I am fortunate in where I live. There are enough auction houses that I can hit one every day of the week, flea and antique markets that I can go to every day and up to 10 on Sundays.
The trick is...knowing what I am looking at.
I can spot different type of toys and trains 3 rows over, but coins, so far I have been lucky
Rest in Peace

johnny54321 - I hope you went after the guy. Make ebay shut him down and refund your money or tell them you will go to the FBI for allowing him to sell counterfeit coins and doing nothing about it

I did go after him. Unfortunately, he knew the loopholes and it never panned out for me. By the way, some of you might know him as "Abon Enterprise", aka, "SGS". Selling overgraded coins is not his only means of profit. In a way though, I'm grateful. It brought me to the forums and caused me to learn so much more than I would have otherwise.
