I have an 1878 S Morgan dollar and though it is worn and holed I was wondering if any VAMS jump out at the experts? I do see what appears to be an S over S?

I know the usual reaction to holed coins but it was my late brother in law who put the hole and he used to wear it as a necklace I guess. So its more sentimental value that numismatic value. I was just curious.

I can get close ups of any relevant areas if any one wants me to.

thanks all

malissa

I don't know much about Morgan $1, but have you seen this page on VAMworld?
It lists several different S/S varieties with pics.
