Yesterday, I spotted the first copy of a Sweden coin I've seen on ebay. As it's only a matter of time before these turn up toned without "copy", I wanted to document some differences I see. With a mintage of only 30K, this key year probably has only one die pair, so the date style/position should match the upper coin. The mintmark is wrong too- it's the wide type used from 1911 onwards(!) There are many problems, but perhaps the most glaring error is the misshapen lozenge on the lowest crown- which likely will be seen on copies of other years.
No doubt any world coin of value will see die-struck copies being made...soon.
