This is a coin that I have in a NGC slab. I don't agree with the grade they assigned to it. What do you think it merits? I'll post the NGC grade soon.

I dunno about the other guys, but I'm gonna have to go against the current and call it MS63.

NGC graded the coin MS-64, and I really think that is too high. The marks on Liberty's cheek are pretty big and are worse than the photos show. Also, the big scratch-like marks on the reverse should lower the grade in my opinion. The coin does have great luster and the obverse is pretty well struck for a Peace dollar so maybe that is what got it an MS-64

This was the first slabbed coin that I ever bought. I got it on ebay for a good price but it was not what I expected an MS-64 Peace dollar to be. Since then, I've been more careful about buying the coin and not the slab.

I'm not a spert, but, IMHO, it is AU. Too much wear on the reverse and the right side of the obverse.

If they gave that an MS 64,then I have a 1923-S in MS 65!I have just joined NCG,and am sending it in soon.
It doesn't have a mark on it!
Cheers,Brewzz

I cracked it out of an old ACG slab.I've had it for about 8 years in the slab.I bought it before I knew ACG over graded their coins....I thought I just made a mistake. When I got it in hand,I realized that it really could be MS65.I'm still waiting for the NGC package to come in the mail. Then I'll submit...
Cheers,Brewzz
