Anyone seen any 2019 low SDs in baby sets? I've only got a regular mint set and it's a commemorative 5c.

Looks like we may never see the low echidna again. Had to happen sooner or later I guess.

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been on these boards. I've just been trying to sort out my collection and thought I'd take a closer look at some of the 5c pieces I have. I noticed that the first "E" in Elizabeth with the '71 5c coin on the left, looks vertically thicker than the one on the right. I've tried to zoom in to show the thickness. Does anyone else have a '71 5c piece which could help me see which "E" is more common?

I'll have a closer look at mine later but it does look a bit thicker.

I have just opened up my 2019 Possum Magic set and it had the 5 cent with small SD (not tiny) and the spines far from the rim at 12 o'clock.
Will send pic if interested.
Looks like they are still using that die.
I wonder if members could check their 2018 Possum sets to see if anyone has the small SD variety.
Hans.

That is certainly an interesting find Hans.
I've not purchased any 2019 sets yet but I'll keep my eye out.
And I'm sure I have a 2018 set at home. I'll check when I am back from a break away in Bali after the recent death of my Mum in January.

Yes definitely 2019 "small SD with larger gap between rim and spines at 12 o'clock" variety.

Ryurazu, can I ask where you got your 2019 5 cent tiny SD (pictured) from? Was it a Possum Magic Set?

Oh nice. I haven't purchased a Possum Magic set this year or last year - just the standard mint sets.

no it wasn't a set it was found in circulation. 2019 20 cent and 2019 5 cent have already been widely release in my area (western sydney).

I have been in discussions with someone on ebay selling a 2019 5 cent from a broken up Possum Magic set for around $13. It would seem that it also is a small SD, so I wonder if they are all small SDs in the possum sets.
Thanks for your response ryurazu, I haven't seen any here in Adelaide yet.

Entirely possible. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2019-UN...HF:rk:6:pf:0 looks like a low echidna from the photo.
