I didn't want to spring for a high-grade example of this scarce Carson City dollar but I snapped up this example for the very reasonable price of $70. How would you all grade it?

I'd say Low VG, the rim looks like its gone in some places making me think G but IMO there's enough detail to warrant VG.
I'd say its worth about twice what you paid.

No better than G4 with loss of rim definition. I would also like one of those for $70.

Good Details - Damaged. It might grade because it's a key date but the obverse pitting is pretty severe.

For $70 it was a good buy.

The reverse is in better shape than the obverse, but I'll go with G-4
