Just got this coin yesterday at work. It came from a roll of quarters a cashier opened. Where is this coin from, and is it worth anything? I can't see any date on the coin. Thanks!

Looks like a Thailand five-baht coin to me.

The date is 2541 Buddhist calendar - 1998 AD.

...and in this condition, it's only "worth" face value. 5 Thai baht is currently equal to 15 US cents.

Note to self: buy rolls of bahts. Use them to replace quarters taken from rolls. Save a dime each time...

rustyboy: these 5 baht coins are no longer produced; if you check the link in kena's post, you'll see they recently shrunk them in size. So I don't know how easy it would be to obtain a large quantity of these anymore.
