Finished my first set. All are 64/65/66 fbl's except the 51S and 53s which are MS65's. It was lots of fun tracking them down.

Nice coins. I just started my Franklin half set. This is a great inspiration.

jprine: Congrats! I'm working on my second set but not that level of quality. Did you buy all slabbed coins and break them out? Are some of the coins in your set proofs or is that just the way the light is reflected?

Yeah the '61 and '63 sure do look like proofs.

Wow, congrats. That's a very difficult set to accomplish, with the FBL's.

Yes, some are proofs (60,61,62,63), should have said that in my original post. All but 5 or 6 were in slabs until I freed them. I actually started out with the proofs and then bought the others as I could, some got fairly expensive. It took me about 6 months to complete.

Very nice set, this is going to be my next set. I want to get the proofs first. I already have '54-'63. When I get '50-'53 I'm gonna start on the business strikes and I hope they are as nice as your set. A+++

Beautiful set, I'm envious! Don't have these, but have given it consideration several time. Your post and pictures (thanks for sharing) have me really wanting to start one. Don't think I'll go for the real high grade as you did. You sure did get it together real fast - any real good sources you care to share would be appreciated.

Congrats! This was my 1st completed set as well but not nearly as nice as the one you finished. What's next?
