I love hanging around at the pub, walking the bourse, attending the auction, chatting and having a great time - TOREX, NUPHILEX and ONA are part of my vacations budget

Will there be any stamp collectors at Torex? I'm looking to unload some stamps because to me I'd rather have coins in my hands than stamps.

I'll be there .. I've been going for years and it's always a good time. I'll wear my old standby orange or red shirt for anyone who doesn't already know me. Please, no additonal or enlightening comments about the garb.

Just a heads up: I'll be at the Torex early Saturday to check out the bourse. I'll be bringing some world coins and stamps to trade if anyone is interested. It'll be a nice calm weekend morning - perfect for hunting. Anyone can PM a list of things they're looking for - I don't have high-end stuff, just simple raws to trade on a 1-for-1 basis of about equal values (e.g. Kennedy half for a Canada half in about equal grades). I'm looking to expand my world type set. I'm very flexible although I do have preferences - just shoot me a PM and we can set something up.

I have been an active member of another Canadian coin site for over 10 years. We started kind of an unofficial "put a face to the name" evolution for coin shows .. and Torex in particular. Unless you know what someone already looks like or what he's wearing, you could never find an unknown at a Torex bourse or auction. If someone wears something out of the ordinary, then he's easy to spot. I have met at least 15 previous unknowns that way and introduced them to other people with whom they may chat nearly every day, but never had a beer with in the pub after the bourse walking. The site is not letting me PM .. or I don't know how.

Ah, well, I did attend the 2010 Saint John convention (a little late to be posting!), but won't likely be in Windsor.
