DAn, the Five Points show was interesting. Some vendors had great coins but once the tag gets beyond $300 you wonder if they'll find a buyer in this economy. I noted that bullion coins were selling $12 to the dollar. I grinned at one vendor selling a few counterfeit coins. He wanted $500 for a 1921 half but said he'd take $250. All were labelled as fakes. What got me though is I didn't recognize these counterfeits. I've seen a lot but these obviously came from a different source than I've seen. The fakes were toned and circulated making them even more dangerous to the collector. I stupidly passed on an 1892 C-2 large cent in EF that was countermarked. Should have paid the $30. Bought some 1936 halves for $23 to $25 each. Like that! Otherwise, nothing hugely eventful. English coins bore me to sleep but I had to scour for my friend.
