Recently bought this coin and from what I have read and from photos of the real coin, this coin looks real. Can anyone give me their opinion and also if real the grade? thanks..........

Looks real to me as well. If you can get a close up of the D and perhaps an angle shot we will be able to better determine.The second 1 looks right as a 44 modification would show a longer 1 in the 14.

Looking at slabbed ones your mint mark looks right.

judging by oimcoins pictures, it looks like a fake, sorry :(

Oim. The example you give are altered dates. I have looked at some slabbed coins and the placement of the MM looks good.I don't see a altered date on this coin.But, of course there are many dies to do the job so.....Only a close-up inspection could really tell.Some side shots would be good.

I will take more photos tomorrow and submit them. I appreciate all your feedback as buying a raw 14D is dangerous although I do have return rights on the coin.

The first 14-D pictured is real, but does not show all the placements. The shape of the D is what you want to look closely at.
