Hey. I need to know the real difference between the Charlton coin guide and the catalogue with the coil-binder. Besides price and obvious size difference, what is contained in the "Coin Guide"? http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books...We+Recommend

For the coin guide:

"(...) For those who are not numismatically inclined and wish to determine "What is it Worth!" the guide offers a neat and clean opportunity to determine the value of those coin accumulations that are tucked away in a dresser drawer, a safety deposit box or tucked away in the basement for safe keeping."

Whatever that means... perhaps a dumb down price listing ideal if you want to buy from relatives.

It's the novice version like 'Canadian coin' said. The ring bound version has detailed info and variety detail. The current guide does not include mint product. So if you collect this you need another book. Haxby or Charest I think still have both. I alternate from year to year but I do like the variety section Charlton has at the back a must for the serious circulation collector.
