So far my collection consists of a few jars full of mostly Canadian pennies, nickels and quarters. But today I've acquired my first uncirculated set. here it is: Can anyone tell me about this? Between 1971-1975, the finish of the "custom set" coins is said to be brilliant relief on a brilliant background. However, some coins may exhibit proof qualities; mirror surface and frosted relief (this is a good thing and command a premium). From your picture, I would say 4 coins qualify. Well done. And you have a particularly nice penny too. However, there are obvious disparities between the pennies (and the dollar) that I think lower it's overall appeal. A nice set nevertheless.
