Just got my Verdi-Care but it didn't come with instructions. I did find them on line though.

BadThad, tell us about those dark stains from a chemical perspective and what one does about that. Since your product is gentle what if I wanted a 50% stronger product for inexpensive coins say under $10 value? If I think the coin looks better "cleaned" than ugly corroded I should be able to make it better since I own it. Was that the other Verdi product you phased out? Also, I don't think you mention the metal bronze in your advertising. Have you had mixed results on IHC's? Of course I ordered some and will work on them myself but would rather hear from you as you already know! Steve

Quote: BadThad, tell us about those dark stains from a chemical perspective and what one does about that. Metal is porous and it will absorb contaminants. Deeply imbedded contaminants cannot be removed without damaging the coin. If you're unhappy with a stained coin, simply sell it and use the money to fund a replacement.

Quote: Since your product is gentle what if I wanted a 50% stronger product for inexpensive coins say under $10 value? Then you can use a harsh cleaner. There are plenty of those on the market and at the hardware store. VC will never be "stronger" than what it is. The product has been designed to be a coin-safe, conservation fluid and not a cleaner. Using anything stronger than VC will result in a cleaned coin and, as a collector myself, is a path I recommend staying away from. There's a difference between cleaning and conservation!

I sure have enjoyed this discussion thread and bought some Verdi-Care. I use it on a regular basis but have not yet tried a long overnight soak. On copper I like the rich original look but not the glossy look like oil gives. So this product has worked real well for me.

Hi, I have just been researching Verdi-Care. I am a collector of Australasian Trade tokens from the 1850's and 60's. These pieces quite often suffer from corrosion and pitting which includes verdigris. I have tried many methods of cleaning most of which cause some damage to the piece. The biggest problem is open pits with active verdigris. No matter how well I seem to clean out the green powder it always seems to comeback. Is Verdigris going to be helpful in this situation?

I would like to ask BadThat for his assistance in getting two-tree bottles of Verdi-care.
The problems: 1. I am from Canada, I am a new member here and cannot send e-mails or PMs 2. I do have relatives in Chicago but their address is not linked to my "Canadian" CC and I am not sure if I will be able to add an USA shipping address there. 3. I do have a Paypal account with their address linked if you think you can use paypal.
Please let me know if you can help me in getting these (and I assume I can store them for long time).
