Look at the corner of the 5 in the middle, on the left. If it's squared off, rather than pointed, it's a pointed 5. I think that's easier than looking at the tip of the 5.

Yours is a pointed 5.

Is there another version of the blunt 5? I have found 5's that are pointed but not enough for me to think they are the pointed 5's, but they are definitely not at a flush 90 degree angle.

they are probably just normal blunt 5's. the pointed 5's are distinct, in my opinion. maybe its wear? maybe someone tried turning a blunt into a pointed?

I would expect damage if someone tried to turn a blunt into a point, and the damage just isn't there. About 5-10% of the blunt 5's I'm talking about have a 10-15 degree point. Very subtle, nothing like the image above. I will have to look at the corder in the middle-left of the 5 to see how they are.

771,772,500 Charlton & Krause both give me this number for mintage of that year. What percentage of those are the pointed 5s?
