Sorry if you have already received this on the german numismatic forum but my translator is giving me much problems, so I will reply here again.
The token is South African or from Southern Africa. In Herns 2009, you will see a 5/-, 2/- and 1/- already listed on pg 197 and 198. This piece is a 6d or -/6 (the first one discovered so far ?). No other information is known about P.W.D.L.
This issue is very similar to the OCB (Ohlsson's Cape Breweries), listed in Herns 2009 on pg 189 and 190 - here the full series is known, namely 5/-, 2/-, 1/- and 6d.
Interesting, the /6 caused many problems in the past. You will see in the old Hern's 2004, the OCB 6d was incorrectly listed as a 9/- piece. This 9/- piece is also mentioned in Theron's under T25 OCB. It was only recently corrected - i.e. there is no 9/- and when turned around it is correctly read as 6d (or /6). The credit for this discovery must go to Peter Preston-Morley at DNW auctions in the UK.
