lol, if your nickel was non-magnetic I'd have a problem with that!

As for "diluting their product" I somewhat agree. However, business strikes should serve their purpose in the first place: to be used as money - to circulate. Real collectors' issues or commemoratives are still being made. Some are good, but most are tawdry.

I wouldn't mind going the Asian way and putting a hole through the coins for portablility and ease of not having to roll anything, just use a piece of string. These days I use a magnet to carry change - sad, but easy to carry.
