Id wouldnt buy it...its a common coin from a common year.
BTW, trends has got a MS-64 listed for 100 bucks.
Not sure whats up with this PL-64 grade that is being used but it doesn't dazzle me in the least.

Besides... plenty of PL-64 coming from China these days & much cheaper.

(ok - just me being sarcastic)

I'm with Dollar. No bid.

.........a chinese counterfeiter would face serious charges (death possibly) if caught making any coin from 1949.

This seller has an interesting strategy. This coin has been up for sale on ebay for about 6 months. I believe that he started at $99, then went to $149, $199 and on up to $500 now after sever more changes.

I believe that this coin was graded PL64 years ago by ICCS but they came to the conclusion that all 1949s were MS and now no longer grade them PL. They no longer have it in their population report, or at least did not in 2009.

So even though your coin is out there floating around graded with your PL stamp you just remove it from the pop report?

Nice data management. Not amusing.

I echo Ugly's comments on this - what is the point of a pop report if it doesn't report the coins you have graded?

As to the repricing of this coin - I have done the same thing with used cars and it usually works. Some people really do believe that they get what they pay for. Not sure it works for coins but who knows
