This is too funny. Not only did they get the date wrong, they made one up. I'm gonna send all my coins to HCGS, instant rarities!

Don't people pay attention to what they're bidding on?

Not only did they get the date wrong, they got the grade wrong as well. That is not an UNC coin...it's AU at best from the pics. There is wear on the knee, leg, thigh, and breast on the obverse and on the eagle's breast on the reverse.

Incidentally, there were NO Standing Liberty quarters minted in San Francisco in 1926! You would think that a knowledgable "grading company" would know that!

LOL! I share your outrage. That was my point, there is no '25-S (1925, not 1926, there is a 1926-S). I messaged the seller and e-mailed HCGS. I'll post any replies. And yes, that's no BU coin!

HCGS should be your first warning something is wrong. On a simular note. I was looking at a Morgan listed on ebay over the weekend, that was listed as a 1883P but the picture was a 1885-O. I emailed the seller pointing out the mistake (mistakes do happen when your listing many of the same types of coins) he thanked me for pointing it out and then put a picture of a 1883-O coin in its place, instead of the P as listed.
Who knows what the buyer would get that won the auction.

OMG, this is up to $220! No wonder I can't get anyone to accept a reasonable offer on BINs.

Yep, a newbie has the bid. I hate to say it but I can't count the times I have been outbid by a newbie, paying MANY dollars over what the actual coins value is.
Rest in Peace

Just one more "grading company" to add to the growing list of scam companies. We now have HCGS to complement SGS, NNC, NTC, PGS, CCGS, ACG, PCI, and the hundred more one-person boiler room grading companies.

The buyer once again demonstrates the validity of Darwin's and Barnum's theorums. This will be an expensive lesson for "gawookie".

What I really like is the pictures they post. Like your really able to grade a coin for yourself by looking at a dollar the size of a dime.Oh thats right, theres no need to judge for yourself,as they have taken all the worry out of it for you by using a quality grading service.
Look at the current high bidder. Another newbie about to get a expensive lesson.
