rggoodie Moderator United States 23553 Posts	Posted 05/12/2010 08:07 am I tried to bid on an ebay item. When I submitted my bid I received a message telling me I was blocked from bidding. I have an excellent history with 100% feedback. I contacted the seller with no replies from the seller. I contacted ebay and they told me th seller set buyer specifications and that I did not meet them and the specifications are only available to the seller? what is this all about ? I think any one who sets qualifications for purchase and does not let the buyer know what those qualifications are should be avoided! Comments: Report this Post to the Staff

Lower down in the exclusion list he may simply have selected all of North America. This would result in the block. I attempted to bid on that item... just to see. I am blocked. I also have a perfect track record. That leaves the country of origin as the blocking criteria. Report this Post to the Staff

Halfwitty Pillar of the Community United States 1523 Posts	Posted 05/12/2010 09:55 am There is another blocking dropdown box that allows a seller to block the Asia/Pacific region.He has obviously blocked that region even though it says worldwide.Some people aren't that clever and don't consider any other areas in that description but China. As in this case, the seller is not familiar enough with the settings and indicates he ships worldwide. Interesting though he will not reply to your inquiry - could be something else going on for this item - or he will eventually figure it out? Report this Post to the Staff
