bart Pillar of the Community Belgium 651 Posts	Posted 05/22/2010 09:21 am 1st row: left: Great-Britain 1/2 crown queen Victoria (silver coin) middle: Great-Britain penny king George V right: Russian empire denga (= 1/2 kopek) 2nd row: 1) France 12 deniers king Louis XVI. This coin was issued after the French revolution, but before the beheading of the king. 2) ? 3) France sol. Even if the year is 1790, this is a Ancien Regime-type. This coin was struck at the Lyon Mint 4) France, looks like 10 sols (1/8 ecu) of Louis XIV. Silver coin 3rd row: pictures are not good enough to identify anything. bart Pillar of the Community Belgium 651 Posts	Posted 05/23/2010 04:17 am These are indeed far better pictures. 1)France 1/2 sol Louis XV, struk at Aix (& mintmark) 2)Turkey 5 para. Regnal year = 14, so the coin must be issued during the reign of sultan Abdul Mejid (1839-1861) The accession year is not visible anymore, but must be 1255AH. With a regnal year 14, this coin was struck in 1852. 3)I still didn't find this one 4) No idea. Byzantine? Report this Post to the Staff

Archraz Pillar of the Community United States 3499 Posts	Posted 05/23/2010 1:02 pm hidden- Would it be possible for you to show a larger picture of the 1917 penny of the first row of coins? If there is a mint mark to the left of the date on the obverse, then it certainly is worth more than one which lacks such a mark. Report this Post to the Staff
