1888 S Morgan What's The Grade

It has some strange toning. The obverse has some blueish tone that is hard to capture in a photo. The rev that was sitting on black foam for 20+ years is toned a nasty grey/black.

I am thinking about selling this one soon, and want to make sure I price it accordingly.

Thanks for the help....My guess using PCGS photo grade is VF25 but the toning could be a negative. Not sure and that is why I am here

I'm going to say VF-20 for this one, IMO there is too much overall wear to grade VF-25.

it looks like that black foam took its toll on it. I think the type of toning is a negative. All the little green areas look like pvc damage to me. I have a morgan toned this orange/brown color and I've been told it could be pvc damage.

edit: I would say VF 20 details

Follow the chemical polarity ladder:

1) water
2) acetone
3) xylene

If none of that helps, you're stuck or you'll have to use an acid/thiourea dip.
