I have people bringing me their coins and asking me to look at them to see if they have anything good all the time. I think I spend more time searching their stuff than my own.

The good news is, if I find anything good, I get dibs on it. Like this 1988 RDV006! It's a little beat up, with some splitting in the plating on the reverse above UNITED STATES and some touches of verdigris on both sides.

Problem is, I haven't found anything on values for these. Anybody know what would be a fair offer for this?

Like everyone else, I've been looking for this one a long time (I started collecting last October).

( that's not gonna make me any friends).

It figures I'd find one in a friends stash!

I'm thinking it's probably worth a little bit more than just a few bucks, Wolf. But, I can't find anything on values.

I believe it is die #4.

lol I know a way to determine value. Its not a very friendly way...

Start an auction on ebay with it at $.01 and set a reserve of $1,000. either you figure out what its worth, or you get $1,000.

Not very cool though. LOL

The last one I saw on E-bay sold for around $5.50 that was about 3 months ago.

It looks like since more of these have surfaced, they tend to range $15-90, depending on condition, of course. So, I figured I would offer $25 because of its condition. The 1988-D still seems to be way more elusive.

Lucky DOG! Congrats!

I have seached a thousand+ 88's and have yet to find one. I refuse to purchase one of these, I'm absolutely determined to find one on my own.
