ouch 2.5 each is pretty low. On the other hand I have heard of coin shops offering less

The 40%s have more copper in them, copper is a precious metal, as well, and the refiners also refine that. Just something else we might bear in mind when we're offering to sell these 40%s to refiners.

Well I think I got a good deal this past weekend. Sold $260 face with 78 war nicks, 490 Franklins and WLH, 1130 Mercs and Rosies and about 2 rolls of Washingtons for $6300.

You're looking at 8 month old prices. $5.84 is scrap now, so 680 = $3971.20. Heck, when I saw $2600, I wanted to know who to write the check to, then I looked at the date of the post.
