i have a 1995 $1 J-T block letter combo but I just sold it but payment has not come yet. interesting thing about this bill is that the J-T block letter combo was last used for this series year as they have not gotten that far into printing for any series yet. so it is a hard bill to get in circulation.

Never payed much attention to bills before, just recently got into roll searching, but found these from a stack of ones I received from the bank today (my first time I decided to search actually). in bad shape but was shocked when I flipped through them and found them. does this happen often? also, I noticed alot of 60's-80's bills people are posting do these carry a premium or just holding for future purposes? the second pics are ones that I found sometime down the road and held onto.

I'm thinking in that condition, they do not carry a premium.. Except for maybe that $5.. But that is still quite a haul!

It is possible that the tellers' mutilated notes got mixed in with the notes for distribution. They were strapped up, you bought them (lucky you), and voila.

Got this at work today. Is it worth more than face value? If not who cares, but I'm just wondering if you guys would save it or just spend it? It's super super crisp, I was very surprised. It hasn't been out much.

And it looks like it was printed off center or cut wrong. I don't know much about bank notes so I'm not sure what happened here.

Working at a bank, I snatch up any old bills I can find. The oldest I've come accross in the last year were TWO 1928 Gold $10 certificates with gold seals, and a 1934 $100.00 bill.

The 28's are pretty beat up, one has tape on it, and the other has stupid pen writing. I still kept them, though. :) Amazed they survived this long in circulation.

Just for the record those notes most likely were out of circulation for a long time then they were spent, stolen, or whatever that put them back into circ.

Question. What's the deal with Barr notes? They are not rare. Am I missing something?

As I recall, he was not in office for very long.

There was hipe at the time about this fact.

That might be why you find them not rare.

Ok I was not aware of the hype surrounding them. I only knew that half a billion notes were printed with his name on them.
