Dumb, really dumb question most likely. In a sealed box, how does one know which of the four possible cents from 2009 are actually in the box. In other words, if I buy a sealed box of 50 rolls of the log cabin variety, how do I know that is what I am getting? You can't tell from the outside of the box. From what I can see, there does not seem like a way to ensure that you are actually getting what you are paying for...any thoughts?

well there is no way to tell for certain that all of the cents are what the seller says they are unless the seller works for an armored car service and they rolled them.

The seller may know what they are simply because they purchased 100 boxes of a certain mintmark and style and that is what he is telling you it is. Personally I would just open the box to inspect the contents. Besides you will want to put these coins in plastic rolls if you are thinking long term storage. Sincerely, John Leckrone
