As for how I work out this type of puzzle, here's a hint.

edit: my 'w' does not work, and I have to use ALT-119. Missed one.

Correct! 3 Scooby snacks to rickando!

That's the setup I was referring to earlier. It helps uncover clues that you might not otherwise see.

I guess I made that puzzle a little too tough!

Evaluate x above and justify your answer.

That was really cool. It even continues on to Six, Seven, and Eight. Very well thought out Scooby.

edit: that darn ALT-119

I've been thinking about going back to college and brushing up on my C++ Programming skills. There are a few other classes that I think I might be interested in taking as well. Because of my job, I can only attend 1 class per day, Monday-Friday.

For 3 Scooby Snacks:

Based on the clues below, which course will I be taking each day of the week and what is the instructor's full name? (one last name is Franklin)

1. Susan and Smith only teach part-time.
2. Jennifer's class is later in the week than Moodys', but earlier in the week than the Systems Engineering class.
3. Assembler is offered on Thursday
4. Mark's class isn't offered on Monday
5. Terry, Johnson, and the Assembler instructor all hold a Ph. D. in computer science.
6. Gates teaches the day before Susan, who teaches the day before Terry
7. Jennifer's class isn't the Oracle
8. Gates, who isn't John, teaches a class held earlier in the week than Visual Basic

How did Moe figure that out so quick? 3 minutes? and that includes the time to read it and type the answer. Whoa!

And as far as your classes, I'm pretty sure that you ate the gerbil on Thursday and bought 46 tubes of a tortoise named Smith on Wednesday. The rest I'm still working on.

Are you asking about the cryptoquote or the classes puzzle?
