The ? is the last gear on a standard automatic car shifter, reverse. Hint 2: is obviously O=O Hint 3: is true if you are going in reverse. Hint 4: if you take the first letter from each word, it spells reverse Hint 5 is self explanatory. Scooby, I have a couple different prize choices for you. Report this Post to the Staff

All of my cars for the last thirty years (with auto transmissions) used P.R.N,D,2,1. That is except for those with overdrive which have OD between N and D. Currently my truck has an OD,3,2,1 - no D. The operation of the automatic transmission requires neutral between are and D gears. At least that is what they told me at the transmission plant that I worked at for 17 years.
