I opened a tubed roll of 1955 BU cents and 19 out of 50 were the worn die examples. Very common because they are VLDS coins. Here is an image to show what one of them looked like.

Thanks for the pictures, Coop. Those tell a fantastic story.

I found one of those a few months ago. When I look at that "doubled" 5, the image that comes into my head is standing on a sheet of ice and having my foot slide out from underneath me. It looks like the 5 slid and left a residue.

Yes, great pics coop. That explains a lot. I can usually pick out that stuff right away but was having much difficulty with this one for some reason.
